Lots of people think of ISAs when it comes to savings, but do you know what one actually is? And with different ones available, which do you pick?

In this video I'll take you through each of them - the Cash ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, Innovative Finance ISA, Lifetime ISA and Junior ISA - so you know which one could be right - or wrong for you.

Plus whether you should just be using a normal savings account instead.

I have a stocks and shares ISA which virtually every spare penny goes into and I opened a junior stocks and shares ISA just this year for my child. Market is a bit ropey right now but long term, I definitely think this is the best for us

Hi Andy, what are your thoughts about it’s opening a LISA during the pandemic?

I opened a regular saving account in May 2019 and it will give me 5% interest. I switched banks and got 175 pounds welcome. I would like to know how to get 1000 pounds interest. Most interest rates seem to be going down. I am planning to begin a stocks and shares ISA.

For the last tax year, my department opened a Cash ISA in January 23, and then deposited a new amount into the Cash ISA account in February (no more than 20, 000 pounds at the time).
Then in the second tax year, that is, in June 23, I injected a new amount into the same Barclays Cash ISA (total has exceeded 2 pounds). Barclays injected funds into 2 different tax years separately.

On the same day, in June 23, I opened an ISA Cash account in another bank, Lloyds Bank. That is, now I have opened a CASH ISA account in 2 different banks, but they have separated 2 tax years and different banks. Can I do this? Thank you.

Opened the first ISA Cash Account in January 23, and deposited some amount in February.
In June 23 of the second tax year, the additional amount was added to Barclays.
Opened an additional ISA CASH account at Lloyds Bank in June 23.

Good video. Is it possible to transfer money between a junior cash isa and a junior stocks and shares? Cash isa is poor interest rate and would be better in the stocks and shares. My son is only 12 so has time to ride the market ups and down. Thanks Sue
