Could Detox Foot Baths Actually Remove Toxins From Your Body?

It's one of the hottest spa treatments around. A foot bath that some spas claim can actually remove toxins from your body right through your feet. Spas charge up to $85 for a foot detox that supposedly draws toxins into a tub of water that changes color. But Dr. Stephen Barrett, M.D. told INSIDE EDITION that the device cannot possibly draw toxins through the feet. We bought our own foot bath unit and had it tested by an electrical engineer. #InsideEdition

I think the first one caught, genuinely thought the process worked. She was surprised and made no excuses.

So why not send the water for sampling to see what chemicals/toxins it contains both before and after? Surely this would be a more definitive test.

It seems to me soaking any part of your body in rusty, dirty water would be the OPPOSITE of healthy. Thanks for the intelligent, investigative report. This is what we need in ALL AREAS of journalism. Not narratives but the truth.

I respect the first lady. She saved herself the unnecessary agony by admitting it didn't work.

What about the parasites that I've seen come out after the foot bath.. I don't believe it fixes all kinds of ailments or whatnot, however, I do feel the circulation in my legs and feet and how do you explain the small parasites?? Where did those come from 🤮

The irony of that second lady, who claims she has a PhD by the way, saying "science is science" is incredulous.

Can you do a story on footy patches. It claims to do a similar a thing if you place the pads on the souls of your feet before bed.
then taking them off in the morning. In which you find the pads full of black sticky gunk and that’s the toxins it apparently has drawn out of your feet.

I'd be more scared of getting electrocuted by that thing.

I have never had this done and always suspected it was a scam so thanks for answering that question. I felt bad for the spa person who clearly thought it did work and then admitted it seemed to be a scam. The manufacturers obviously know it's a scam even if some of the spa people don't.

I have one of these foot baths. I tell you I feel so much better after using this. It might seem to be a scam but it truly helps me. Perhaps it's from the electricity that helps I don't know but whatever it is it works for me. Course I am not paying ridiculous amounts to get a treatment.

Did anyone test the water for the presence of toxins after the customers used the foot bath. The toxins didn’t have anywhere to go except into to the bath. 🤷🏽‍♂️
