Frost spent 60 hours in Palworld over the past week. These are his thoughts.

Frost's ability to write lines like "In the sand in front of me lies the last Wii U" and deliver them completely deadpan is utterly delightful.

DAYUM. That is a good line, dude. So many good ones right at the start, and then THIS gem right near the end.

I mean, if we look at the original story, we should only be horrified if the monster isn't loved by its creators, and from what I see here, this game is blessed with that for sure.

In your last video you asked if people could tell you if they would enjoy seeing more game reviews from you, instead of the usual Cold Take content. Honestly you could just read excerpts from a physics textbook to me and I'd probably still watch. vooooice.

Is it rough? Oh yeah. Is it jank? Yup. Am I having fun? Yes. It needs a ton of polish but I've had more fun with it than a lot of AAA games lately.

For an Early Access game, Palworld is surprisingly dense with content. I was amazed to see how large the world is, and it doesn't feel empty at all. I think I might try a "no flying mount" challenge at some point.
I hope to see the devs flesh out the story/questing part of the game, maybe introduce some named NPCs with personality. I feel that would go a long way towards rounding out the world. There are villages and friendly encampments but they're very bare bones at the moment.
I'm still a ways out from finishing the game's content, and I'm very happy with my purchase so far. Palworld is great!
