Left out important details like how the 14 core M4 Max ONLY comes with 36GB memory and you can't upgrade it unless you go up to the 16 core model. Apple now sells 2 standard config 16" MBPs (the 2 middle cost ones) with the max memory you can get without upgrading the CPU. Also the Airs got upgraded to 16GB memory standard but no M4.

I returned my M3 around a month or two ago because of rumors about M4 and I'm glad they held up. I think now that we have the new model I'm going to get the 14 inch M4 Pro (14, 20, 16) with 24gb ram and 1tb storage, with the nano texture of course. I think for my use case it should be more than enough for years to come.

I use a 16-core Ryzen and I don't think that I will ever need more headroom for my expanding processes and all other things that I do. I would transition to the 16-core M4 for the same experience, but with more system stability compared to my experiences with Windows 11.

Just ordered the Apple MacBook M4 Max chip with 16‑core CPU, 40‑core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine, 128GB unified memory, 4TB SSD storage. It's a 5 year investment, Upgrading from the late 2021 Apple MacBook M1 Max, 64GB, 4TB which is now 3 years old, still runs great. You only live once so why the hell not :-)

I only need one reason to upgrade and that's the reason that I am on the last Intel Based 2020 MacBook Pro and I'm honestly getting tired of it lagging and having to restart it when multitasking with excel or FCP 😭😭. Sadly I don't have the money for a new M4 Pro MacBook Pro

Guys I am an engineering student just ordered the m4 pro 14 core cpu 20 core gpu however I kept it with the 24gb of ram because of the cost of upgrading to 48. Will this be sufficient for my needs using CAD softwares and some 3D rendering??

My M1 Max is still running great but only has 1TB and 32gb ram. I’m upgrading to the M4 Max 64GB/4TB and should last until the M9-M10 chips
