the best American deal is the annexation of Mexican lands..Texas.. California.. new Mexico.. some people compare this anexia with the Russian anexia.. but this is not the case.. Russia has returned its historical lands that were previously given by the communist regime to Ukraine.. but America has included completely foreign lands in its composition..

Geography Now made an accompanying video where he goes through distinct regions of Russia and I think that would be really interesting, specially to get a look of non Slavic Russia

Ohh no Videooo,

You're pointing at Kamchatka and saying it was split so confidentally,
when it was the island on the left, called Sakhalin.
The islands were just an addition.

You see, formally speaking
Japan and Russia's Grandfather USSR never actually signed a peace treaty, thos never ending the actuall war, THOS never agreeing to split or transfer any territories.
Quite an interesting topic if you dig into it.

14:50 Ты показываешь Камчатку, она всегда принадлежала России. Остров, о котором ты говоришь - Сахалин. Он на карте левее и южнее, возле Хоккайдо.

The average salary in Belarus exceeds the average salary in Poland by 12% as of September 2022, plus for 21 consecutive years Belarus has been ranked first in the world in terms of the level of education of the population on the planet
This is an interesting country that has at its disposal all industries from mechanical engineering to the production of computers and electronics for example companies such as Asus Lenovo Be quiet LG and Huawei use electronic components manufactured in Belarus

congrats on hitting 1k.
9:35 you haven't really covered the topic of Russian territorial expansion in your videos hence why I brought up the "How did russia conquer Siberia" video suggestions.. though if it doesn't happen it doesn't
14:40: you're pointing at Kamchatka when you are talking about the formerly half-Japanese Sakhailen island
You also got the territories in southeast Ukraine a bit confused. Donbas is the region overall region. The provinces are Luhansk and Donetsk.

Solzhenitsyn was a populist and hype eater, his books are basically an alternate history fiction, but more importantly they were anti-soviet in the age when anti-soviet stuff sold well. If you read it without giving way to emotions, you'll find a lot of major inconsistencies and straight up bollocks stuff even if you're not aware of the actual history behind it. Just for the perspective, the only things that are historicall were that GULAG existed, political prisoners were sent there as well and that people died there occasionally, while every detail was twisted, exaggerated or straight out made up to support the ideological narrative.

The historical value is about the same as of "Enemy At The Gates" movie, which is, for those who's not aware, being correct only about battle if Stalingrad taking place and sniler Vasily Zaitsev existed, which might be the whole point, because if you have some major names and events pop up, you can lie all you want about anything else and still call it "based on a real events". And I brought this movie up just so people can ask themselves that if such a well known and documented event could be so shamelessly twisted and lied about openly in the times when there was no obvious point to smear the USSR already, what scale of lies was during the Cold War, given the described topic not so well known outside the country and that an author who tells that story could have a certain interests and agenda behind it, especially considering he was indeed a talented writer and crafted his narrative relatively carefully and subtly (so it wouldn't catch an eye as an obvious propaganda piece for an average person).

Ironically, after he witnessed so desired collapse of the USSR and has willingly returned to his homeland, he seems have started to realize that the game was bigger than he is, and he wasn't the player, but was played with. He thought that any means are justified for a purpose of destroying the despised political system within the country but instead his works were weaponized by the outside rivals against his country as whole. Basically, those he swung at with his shovel of dirt had long since gone, and the blow fell on those he was supposedly trying to save (if he actually ever intended). For instance, that's his quote from 2006, which hits differently today:
"NATO is methodically and persistently developing its military apparatus — to the East of Europe and to the continental coverage of Russia from the South. There is open material and ideological support for "color" revolutions, and the paradoxical introduction of North Atlantic interests into Central Asia. All this leaves no doubt that a complete encirclement of Russia is being prepared, and then its loss of sovereignty." Go figure...

Most of Slavs are orthodox, Poland and Croatia are catholic, while Czech Republic and Slovakia are nominally a mix between catholic and protestant, but most of their population is agnostic/atheist

at the end of the video is a story about Russian geopolitics.. but it's old and irrelevant.. at the moment there is a war between Russia and NATO on the territory of Ukraine.. but this is just the tip of a huge geopolitical iceberg.. In fact, this is the beginning of an anti-colonial global confrontation between the West and the global south.. the overwhelming number of countries do not participate in sanctions against Russia.. sanctions and war are supported only by the collective West.. 85% of the world's population live in countries that do not support sanctions against Russia.. but the Western media don't talk about it.. and the Western media also do not talk about the causes of the war..

a stupid plot.. a set of stereotypes for the Western viewer.. the Western viewer's head is filled with primitive stereotypes about Russia.. snow.. Stalin.. gulag.. Siberia.. vodka.. ballet.. there's nothing you can do about it.. nothing has changed in the last 500 years..
