Regarding the Canada-US friendship, there's a great quote by Robert Thompson (US-born Canadian politician): "The Americans are our best friends, whether we like it or not."

The library which sits on the border of the US and Canada was built there on purpose, because it represented the friendship between the US and Canada. By the way, the building is also an opera house. The shelves where the books are kept are in Canada and the stage in the opera house is as well. The main entrance and most of the seating for the opera house are in the US. Since the books of the library are in Canada, there is a saying that the Haskell Library is only library in the US without books.

The US and Canada are roughly the same size. Canada is larger in total area (land + water) and the US is larger by land area alone. There’s a lot of water in Canada!

So funny thing bout these airports at 3:35, there was a law preventing the us from giving Canada planes for WW2 so they built airports right on the border so the plane “landed in the us” but taxied to Canada using a loophole of not being allowed to fly planes to Canada

American here, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting my northern neighbors six times over the years. Twice to Whistler in B.C. to ski, once to Quetico Provincial Park for Canoeing, once to Tobermory, Ontario for scuba diving and twice to Montreal for the Drum Corps International competition. All wonderful places to visit. Big thumbs up to Canada. 🇺🇸❤️🇨🇦and🇬🇧.

@7:30, the "Singing Sands" of Prince Edward Island are pretty specific to the East side of the island at a place called Basin Head. Just so if you do ever come visit us, your not trouncing over the entire island trying to get the sand to squeak! Ha!

I live in Minnesota and other Americans like to compare us to Canada quite a bit. You have the stereotypical Canadian politeness we have "Minnesota Nice". Our accents have been compared as similar too. We also have a city called "Little Canada"

The airport thing is a ww2 work around the US they couldn't be seen sell weapons to the allies at the time but if they left them on a runway and Canadian pulled they across the border the allies could have them.

I'm about 160 miles south of the Canadian border of Alberta Province. The snow birds are migrating. Alberta plates all over the interstate. I think of Canadians as well Canadians, but not foreigners if that makes sense. Have a few friends in the Great White North, but dang it's cold here, yet colder there in the winter.
