there is that war in 1812 where the US tried to invade Canada, we drove them off. Neither country can claim a victory, but we as Canada are still here. so that's a win for us Canadians.

I know a guy from Ethiopia and, being from almost the exact same latitude, you might share in what he found the most stunning thing about Canada. Or rather, the thing that he said he most had to see to believe. The length of the day. It changes drastically with seasons. Growing up, he had heard of this but couldn't imagine how it works or how drastic it is. His first winter here, he was astonished that in southern Canada we get maybe 8 hours of daylight but the summer gets about 16. If you go to Alert in Nunavut, the winter is one very long night. The Sun does not rise at all. In the Summer, it literally never sets. Alert has 77 sunrises per year. Think about that. 365 days in a year but only 77 sunrises. with one period of daylight lasting 5 months. If you have never been to latitudes like ours before, that might be one of the biggest things to get used to. There's no sun in the winter and no dark in the summer. We barely notice it and will only mention it in passing. Like "getting dark this early already, eh? Where has the year gone?". We're going to all seem crazy to you about this particular issue

FYI. The maple leaf as depicted on the flag is, oddly, more like the Norwegian maple than any native species. It has now been classified as an invasive species.
Some bottled water is Canadian tap water ( Nestlé )

Hello from Toronto, the most diverse and multicultural city in the world. We have over 200 ethnic groups and over 140 languages spoken. The rest of Canada hates us but only because they are jealous. We love and welcome everyone. We are not the prettiest city though, that distinction goes to Quebec City which is beautiful.

Barby did a decent job at profiling Canada, though this was one of his earlier (and shorter) videos. He missed out a lot on physical geography. He didn't mention the mountains at all, which surprised me. And also, don't worry. French is not the most common language. Most of Canada speaks primarily English. The city I live in, Edmonton, also has a fairly good sized Nigerian community that mingles a lot with the Ghanaian community. A lot of them play soccer. My sister's ex-husband is Nigerian, so I got to meet plenty.

Just a small point: Canada isn't majority French. 80% of Canadians are anglophones (English speakers). What he said is that more than half of Canadians know both languages. Almost everywhere you go in Canada outside Quebec, you'll be in an English speaking city, town, or area.

I have lived in Canada all my life and am very proud of my Country. It is true there is a lot of immigrants that come here to work. In the last few years many many immigrants from India have moved here. Most Canadians are very welcoming to anyone moving into the country. My dentist is African (Sierra Leone) my dentist is from India and my eye Doctor is from India as well. I have spoken to some immigrants about why they choose Canada and they choose Canada for a couple of reasons. There is peace in the country no wars Canadians are friendly, Main reason is not just being able to get a job but also they get paid really really well. To give you an example of what employees get paid here for work. It is law that a person must get paid at least $15 an hour. I converted that for you that would be equivalent to 4093.97 naira for 1 hour of work. The cost of living is cheap from where they come from.

Hello, I'm from Manitoba Canada. My city Winnipeg has many times been colder than Alert Nunavut, bit of a proud thing for us considering our national nickname is "Winterpeg". I hope you have the opportunity of coming here, the land is vast and beautiful and for the most part, the people are nice (there are of course exceptions to every rule). There is something I would like to correct though. The "Slavey" people are called the Dene, from what I've learned from friends, the "Slavey" is offensive to them. When you come here, I sincerely hope you enjoy your life here and welcome to Canada.

As a canadian one thing I can say that really differences us from the USA, is we really enjoy seeing and experiencing others culture. Like my dream in life is to somehow have a drink with a Japanese Yakuza. Just hearing about the life, struggles and morals sounds so interesting. I try not to force my morals on others as long as innocent aren't hurt, and they have a pretty strict no civilian code.

Pause the video sometimes and the viewer question or relate certain thing to Nigeria, one of my best friends is from Nigeria but he pretty much grew up here it would be nice to see the difference in how someone born and raised there, looks at Canada compared to some one raise in Canada

The video is definitely accurate but he didn’t talk about the scenery and nature much, you should react to some more Canada videos but more about the national parks and mountains and stuff, if you ever come to Canada you should go to British Colombia it is the most beautiful place in Canada
