Glad to see a video-focused review of the Intel Arc GPUs. Most reviews tend to focus on gaming, which (I suppose) isn't the main strength of these cards.

Intel's ARC GPU's impress me with their image quality and all around performance. Very capable Gaming and Video encoding sleeper power house. (Owner of the A770 LE 16 gb) I have no regrets using Intel latest offering for all my use cases. Thanks for informative video!

Intel CPU quick sync encoders and decoders are amazing. I believe you have to enable quick sync in BIOS on Asus motherboards otherwise you leaving a lot of performance on the table.

You should've done these tests with a software that actually supports intel deep link, like davinci resolve, and what about AV1 encoding?

You should test BRAW 12K transcoding to HEVC.

I bought a 3060 12G a few weeks ago. I'll be using Premiere Pro everyday. I'm worried about compatibility and driver updates with the A770. Which is better for 4k editing?

Got an Arc just as a rendering gpu so I can use AV1, and despite people telling me it'll ruin my gaming experience since I have a main gpu, it really hasn't. Not sure if it's because it's an arc or if they were wrong about 2nd gpus in general.

Maybe I missed it, but it seems that you did not run any tests on AV1 encoding times -- only HEVC. Why not? I'm curious whether gaining the efficiency of AV1 results in longer encode times compared to HEVC.
