Feeding frenzy. I wouldn’t want to be in the water.

A safety reminder about staying buckled up so you don't accidentally fall into the water.

Nothing like a feeding frenzy to make you hold on a little tighter !!! 😊

As a former commercial diver, I can tell you the sea life around the rigs is amazing.

We’d spearfish during downtime and practically feed the entire crew sometimes.

I knew that sharks were fast, but from this direction it’s pretty striking just how fast they actually are. in short bursts no less!

1985 next to a Amocco drilling platform I was an engineer on a standby boat. Lot's of sharks and fish. I could write a book on all the things that went on.

I worked as a cook on the Gulf of Mexico back In the late 70's. Very common to have lots of sharks, barracudas and other predatory fish always around the rigs. Lots of game fish live around the rigs and the predators never go hungry.

I'd be re-checking my harness setup.

That's what I call shark infested waters.

Bob chums the water as a joke while Charlie and Mike are working at water level.
What a guy!😂

Was on the Wandoo B off Karratha in the 90's (same area as this one). And of all the people to fall in the water it was the scaffolding Supervisor at the start of day shift.
He was inspecting the previous days under-hung scaff work under the main deck and climbed outside the temporary railing and fell about 6 or 7 metres into the water.
He got himself out pretty quick, so quick that I think he must of run across the surface of the water to the access ladder on one of the caisson/legs.

(2 minutes before this) Worker 1 to Worker 2: "We might be able to survive a fall from this height"
(2 minutes after this) Worker 2 to Worker 1: "I bloody hope not!"

You can bet they don’t have to be asked to wear their safety harness.
