MUST-HAVE SOLUTIONS FOR ACNE MANAGEMENT:

Topical Retinoids are a game-changer when it comes to pimples or acne treatment. They help decrease pore obstruction, decrease inflammation and decrease oil production while increasing skin cell turnover which helps prevent new acne bumps.

Don't waste your money on any retinoid. You should go for Adapalene 0.1% which is a topical Retinoid that’s FDA approved for acne treatment and available to buy over the counter if you’re watching in the US. Anywhere else in the world its prescription only, so speak to your healthcare professional.

Please remember Adapalene and all retinoids are not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have sensitive skin you should apply a very little amount of the Adapalene 2-3 times a week and gradually increase usage until you build tolerance for daily use as it can cause dryness when you begin. Always read the information leaflet before using any medication and speak to your healthcare professional.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE ACNE:
These self-help techniques may be useful:

• Don't wash affected areas of skin more than twice a day. Frequent washing can irritate the skin and make symptoms worse.
• If dry skin is a problem, use a fragrance-free, water-based emollient.
• Change your pillow case and face towel daily with a fresh laundered one. When not washed frequently, pillowcases and towels can contribute to acne breakouts because of the accumulation of bacteria, dirt, and oils. These come from the environment and from our own skin and hair from daily use. This small tip helped me a lot with my acne.

HIGH GLYCEMIC FOODS:
As explained in the video here are a few examples of foods which have a high glycemic index,
• White and whole wheat bread
• White rice
• Breakfast cereals and cereal bars
• Cakes, cookies, and sweet treats
• Potatoes and fries
• Chips and rice crackers
• Sweetened dairy products such as fruit yogurts

WHEN TO SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT ACNE:
Even mild cases of acne can cause distress. If your acne is making you feel very unhappy or you can't control your spots with over-the-counter medication, see your doctor.

Also see your doctor if you develop nodules or cysts, as they need to be treated properly to avoid scarring. Try to resist the temptation to pick or squeeze the spots, as this can lead to permanent scarring.

What worked for me was eating eggs. I was probably deficient in B12, D3 or Zinc. My acne dissapearing was like a miracle for me.

I am a 15 year old male and whenever I wake up i find more pimples and acne on my face, these usually improve during the day but then comes back the next morning. I'm using a tea tree exfoliating face scrub every morning and washing my face twice daily, however I did not know that I should be changing my pillow case. I only change about once every 2-3 weeks.

I'm only 14 and I didn't know I've grown a lot of acne over the past few days. Not sure if it was due to stress, bacteria or too much diet that causing me to have them grown all over my face, if I have acne should I be worry about washing my face will that still make them go away, because I aware that if I don't or seem to forget my face will continue growing acne everywhere
