I converted to Catholicism 5 years ago after living my life as a lukewarm protestant. I have 3 beautiful children that changed my life, but nothing changed my life like becoming Catholic. I have never felt so close to God. Why did I used to struggle alone when there's a whole football team in heaven and on earth who want to support me!? The biggest struggle for my conversion was the Marian doctrines. I realise now this doubt came from the devil as he fears her humility and devotion to God so much. I am deepening my devotion to Our Lady each day and every day she brings me closer to her son. She was the human being Jesus was closest to through his whole time on earth. She loved selflessly and Jesus wants us to know her love too!

For any protestants struggling with this, this was the explanation that really helped me best to understand: the Sun is the brightest object we can look at - so bright that we can't look straight at it for fear of being blinded - this is God. The moon however is a beautiful reflection of the light from the sun and allows us to stare at the life saving beauty of the sun no matter how much darkness we're in. This is our Blessed Mother.

The rosary is amazing at reducing blood pressure. All my rosary prayers are answered. Most often not in the way I wanted or expected. But in hindsight always in way that was better than I could have imagined. I also say the Jesus prayer. Amazing. Sometimes you can feel Him in the room with you.

I pray the rosary with my husband every morning.

I feel sorry for those on this thread who comment negatively about loving the mother of God.
After losing my own mother, I said, “well, Mary, you’re my mother now.” My life has been forever changed—in a glorious way.

Thank you Jordan... and because I have converted many years ago to Catholicism, I love the way the Church brings scripture and Jesus to the people, the rituals, order and discipline and of course, above all, the Holy Eucharist, Jesus as a living sacrafice.
The Rosary is very special, reflecting on the life of our Lord, scripture on beads and thus, I must say, makes my heart so joyful that your wife found this beautiful prayer. God bless you both.
