Frank Besednjak built his house in Mt. Washington 30 years ago. When his walls started cracking and his doors stopped opening, he started investigating.

I love how insurance companies are complete trash.

People have DIED in homes that disappeared into sinkholes. Just condemn it already!!!

He needs to get a lawyer ASAP. He has the proof from the geologists that this is a real sinkhole under his house, so he will definitely win and be able to get it condemned so he can get the insurance payout !

Sounds like a lawsuit needs to be filed against the city

Get out of that house! She is going down and you do not want to be there when it goes!

If I were him, I'd go live in a trailer or RV until the condemnation comes through if there are no family or friends to go stay with. This is just too dangerous... the house could fall into the sinkhole while he's asleep in the middle of the night. I pray this works out for him and that he stays safe.

That’s a nice home that he worked hard for. I hope they condemn it soon so he can move on

If this guy doesn't get his house condemned before it swallows him alive, I hope the city goes broke from the lawsuit payout this guy's next of kin receives. He's doing everything right, the fact that the city is dragging their feet on this is incredulous. Praying he doesn't fall victim to this situation any more than he already has.

I’d be scared to death living there. I can remember when a sinkhole opened up somewhere and half of a house fell into it. A man was sleeping in the part that collapsed. There was no way to safely retrieve him. The sinkhole became his tomb.

Insurance be like: "We're sorry, this was a preexisting condition before you built your house- we can't pay out for this."

This guy is awesome. He’s documenting the house sinking with a leveler and he drilled a hole to see what’s under his house. I wonder what he did for work. He obviously has a lot of money and knows how to use tools

It's a very simple fix, condemn the house. The bureaucrats should lose their jobs for their incompetence

Poor guy, what is the city waiting for? He has all the information needed to condemn the house

Typical insurance company, always a loophole or fine print.. you pay and pay and pay, but god help you if you ever actually need it... I feel for this man, and hope he gets a positive outcome, absolutely gutted for him, looks like a super nice home and land, such a shame.

The fact he still lives there is scary, thinking you can dart out the door as your home falls 20feet into the ground is wild!

So sad, because that is a nice house, too.
