Homeowner overbilled $4.5K on natural gas for 7 years

Enbridge is a garbage company. I had to fight them tooth and nail to fix a bill where I was overcharged by almost 600 dollars.

If this mistake went the other way and Enbridge had under charge a customer for 7 years would Enbridge only be entitled recovery for 2 years?

According to Enbridge, theft has an expiry date.

Sue them for 100 times what they the company has no problem taking 20+ % interest compounded daily if you're late make 'em pay, every dime plus interest .

Take the refund and now start a civil lawsuit for theft. You have proof you paid for an x amount of gas, and they delivered a lesser amount; you can now argue they stole the rest and you need retribution plus aggravation.

Enbridge is a garbage company. Imagine my dismay when I moved to Calgary and found out that they were the only option.

I always submit my monthly enbridge meter reading and stopped equal billing a few years ago. I pay half of what I was being charged. It is simple to do and this way you aren't billed for gas you didn't use. I take a photo of the meter reading for my records too so if there is any dispute I have a time and date record. As for other charges you must check monthly charges too.

Transportation cost is excessive, and it comes through pipes. we are charged 130 a month delivery in alberta government doesn't care

This is happening to almost every Roger and Bell customer that never logs into their account or check their bill. I see it all the time.
