I'm so glad they put The Goat and the Best Spiderman of all time Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the MCU, now I need The Amazing Spiderman 3 and Spiderman 4

If this was a non pandemic period and the movie had a China release it would've made between 2 - 2.5 billion. Because looking at online views, anticipation/hype this movie us comparable to endgame.

Well only way and their chances to even do this, Japan and Philippines somehow they could do it, unfortunately with the extracurricular stuff with China and the United States, it’s not likely it’s going to happen, it’s just logic that it’s just not gonna cut it, $2B doesn’t have to happen for this movie, it’s the highest grossing Sony movie of all time now

Look at it this way without a doubt spidey is the most profitable superhero of all time...sure it was a team up movie but it relied solely on its own merits/universes except for 20 second daredevil cameo lol...the movie that literally started the superhero genre still dominates the superhero genre that is awesomely poetic

1.6 max after China… given Pandemic circumstances, SPNWH already surpassed wildest expectations for a stand alone character movie. Breaking $1billion is a testament to the strength and future potential of the SP franchise

To compare a solo superhero character movie to an ensemble Avengers movie is high praise foe Spider-Man. Waiting till the third move to scale up the stakes foe the character and to set the stage for a spideyverse was well timed.

China has to release this film, they’re obligated to. How can you have all 7 Spider-Man movies but leave out the 8th. Not only did it leave on a cliffhanger but NWH is the culmination of 3 generation. If they gave Endgame a pass for its time travel, then they owe it to their citizens to watch NWH.

The important thing is, it made more money than ALL of the woke and woke-friendly MCU movies in 2021 put together. Executives may think the younger generations want woke garbage, forced diversity, and "relevant" messages involving identity, but what they really want is a relatable character who doesn't come as part of a story which attempts to force a political propaganda message down the audience's throats.

I find it unlikely this movie will make $2 billion, unless by some miracle, the countries that do not have it yet add an extra $800-$900 million to its gross. I will say, it could very easily be the highest grossing solo superhero movie. Right now, Black Panther is currently the highest solo-hero movie. Spidey is just about $180 million below that. Remember, some countries have not gotten this movie yet like the Philippines and Japan. So it could easily make the money it needs to take that throne. Do I think if it were released in China, without a pandemic, it could have reached $2 billion? Perhaps. The hype was equal, if not more, than Endgame (depending on who you talk to) Plus Spider-Man comes out on top in a lot of "Favorite Super Hero" polls worldwide. I don't want this taken the wrong way, but the fact this movie made over $1 billion without China shows that movies can do fantastic regardless of a release there. I find it unlikely it will get a Chinese release date, which honestly makes me sad. Fans there will not be able to see this movie in theaters. But at the end of the day, only time will tell. It'll be interesting to see the box office journey of Spider-Man No Way Home.
