While tracking the dean, Peter (Tom Holland) is ambushed by a furious Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina).

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

I like how Otto immediately softens up when he sees that he is fighting the wrong Peter. He seems confused and surprised and also a bit heartbroken.

I was really worried about the greenscreen CGI replacing the original practical effects, but whoever animated this scene deserves a highfive and a major raise. Well freaking done.

I like how even though Tony Stark isn't there anymore his technology is present and helps Peter

2:12 I love how Ock appears in a cloud of black smoke while a warped version of his theme plays, as if he’s really a vengeful spirit from the past

I never realized it till now but at 3:26, the right tentacle does what looks like a "surprised" expression upon seeing the spider-arms.

I just love how HEAVY Octavius' arms sound. Really gives off the sense that they can destroy anything in their path.

It goes to show you how skilled Tobey is. He was able to keep up with Doc Ock despite not having the Stark Technology.

Lmao, Peter took over his tentacles like a kid casting a streaming video onto a smart tv while their dad was trying to watch basic cable 😂

"Looks like we got competition" that was a badass quote from Doc Ock

The sound design and animation of Doc Ock at 3:42 is incredible. The sound of him raising up past Peter is intimidating as hell.

It was cool to see the Iron Spider Arms being utelized. Felt like Peter and Ock were in equal footing for a moment.

You really have to admire Peter’s persistence and dedication to protecting people. He gets smacked into a car by a concrete pillar and barely slows down

Doc Ock’s little one liners throughout the fight sound like a boss battle in a video game

One thing I love about this scene is how, unlike Spider-man 2, Doc Ock's human body doesn't take repeated strikes to the head and just keep going. As far as I can see, Ock himself only gets hit twice here (at 3:32 and 3:46), and both of them are Spider-man jumping onto his chest and kicking away rather than landing a proper hit. This fits in nicely with Ock's extremely aggressive fighting style, where he has to dominate the pace and keep his opponent on the backfoot because he's a glass cannon and is doomed if he actually trades blows.

One thing I didn't love is at 3:05 when he gets slammed into the dean's car window hard enough to knock the entire car halfway through the concrete barrier, but apparently not hard enough to actually break the glass.
