We have an European Hisense Oled TV since Dec 2021 so it's basically a lil bit over a year in usage and has around 4000 hours from my memory and it has 3 types of "cleaning". The very basic cleaning is when you watch the TV just a bit longer like 2 or 3 hours and you turn off the TV it will make a "cleaning process" for a minute or two. Than the next cleaning process starts with a pop up if you watch the TV continuously for more than 4 hours straight, it will "clean" for 10 minutes. Than the advanced one is at around 1500 hours when it makes a "deep cleaning" for 1 whole hour. So it's safely to say Hisense also has some nice measures against burn in/retention :-)

Been nearly 4 years now with my LG C9 watching then same stuff with subtitles and playing the same games pretty much everyday and no burn in from maps or otherwise like the Qled owners kept warning me about 👍

I have been using my 48" C1 as a PC monitor since I first turned it on March 3/22, and as of today, Feb 1/23, it indicates I have put 5, 024 hours on it...and still no burn in or other issues.
I last checked for burn in (and/or any other issues) just before 5, 000 hours so it has been about 30 - 40 hours since I last checked.
I always turn it off every 4 - 6 hours for 10 - 15 minutes so it can do the automatic quick pixel refresh...
and it has done the automatic major pixel refresh twice now.
Thanks Paul, for all the information you provide...and I hope you and the kids are doing well.
Keep gaming and carry on.

It would be nice if manufactures built in an indicator for when Pixel Cleaning was occuring (say, a different color LED than the standard Red used for several functions). It would also be nice if they set up a user-accessible log of when pixel cleaning had occurred.

Hi loved the honesty of your review of the Philips tv I have had my 58 inch Philips LED for just over a year now and I love it I had to contact there customer service in regards to a remote control issue and they are truly helpful it’s a free call you talk to an actual person and the issue was sorted straight away they sent out a new remote at no charge absolutely fantastic customer service and it’s for 2 full years so long as you register your purchase and the ambilight is amazing and is patented to Philips so you won’t find it on any other brand there are kits that you can attach to your other makes of tv but they are not very good and are an extra cost keep up the good work my friend you might get converted to a Philips tv yourself 👍

The Tech Giant is also an honest man, always bringing up Burn-In on OLED TVs. They're amazing TVs but a lot of YouTubers forget or rather not even mention Burn-In. But The Tech Giant is always on top of this situation! Thanks, Paul!

I'm gaming on my Philips 806 with my PS5.

Ambilight is just awesome.

Honesty, integrity, and character are something you don’t see from many manufacturers. Strength and honor brother keep it going forward. Godspeed. 🥂🥂🤙😃

Awesome information, Paul. People who have Oleds in the past will most likely know how to handle an oled TV. But, this information is excellent for those who haven't owned an oled in the past. Keep up the great work, Paul. Stay strong, my friend. 👍🏻

I’ve set up my LG quick menu to have the screen off icon on the top of the other icons. So I do a three button press to turn the screen off when I leave a paused screen or static image. [Settings button-down button-enter button] it’s super quick and it’s now built into my muscle memory.

I have a panasonic oled and they also mention to put your tv into standby for clean up process

Had my LG CX 55 since launch and it’s been brilliant, had zero burn in, this is with playing a lot of games, and watch Football and F1 so lots of time with static score boards or leaderboards, screen is immaculate no burn in. It’s always left on standby so it can do it’s cleanup.

Nice to see a manufacturer that isn't hiding anything and makes sure people are aware of the technology they're using. And hell, a little burn-in after years of use ain't the end of the world (or life for the TV). Once my C1 gets bad enough that it impacts critical viewing in the living room, I can just slap it onto a wall in my gym/workshop where a little imperfection likely won't be noticed, and it shall go on for a few more years.

LG pretty much said this in the manuals that come with their tv's but you have alot of people that either turn off all the OLED Burn In Protection features or don't follow the instructions period. Then they wonder why their OLED's get burn in! Its just common sense. You fear burn in? TheN either buy an LED tv or USE THE BURN IN PROTECTION FEATURES!!! But LG should do the same thing and slap it right on the tv screen as soon as you set it up.

Great job Philips and thanks for the video. I love OLED displays but I also use my main TV as a PC monitor so when I look to replace it I will be looking for something other than OLED so I don't get burn-in. It is always better when any manufacturer is upfront and honest about the tech.

I' ll stick with LCD for now, maybe in the future I'll purchase a mini LED TV.
