I have used this TV for 7 months now. This TV is top class and fast. Android OS makes it better than LG c2.

I've got to say I really love my new Philips 807, I've also got the 48" model. I'm blown away by the amazing picture, excellent motion handling (well much better than my previous old LG LE5900 Lcd that was 10 years old). Amazing pixel response and low latency. Even 4k youtube videos look so clear that it looks like what's on screen is a portal! So far the only slight bugbear I have is that the youtube app sometimes goes to homescreen when clicking on OK to play a video, only happens once or twice every week or so.

Seem to be similar "quirks" with the 936 we have. But more then happy with it over all and we weren't put off by the sales person saying the included soundbar was not very good. We have found that the sound quality and "surround" effect was enough for us and it does provide a very filmic feel but the bottom end is lacking on lower settings (15 and below)

i'm considering this tv currently 65" either the 707 model or 807, i really want the 807 but its £700 more, and the only differences i can find is the 807 has 4 sided lights instead of 3 and its an EX panel, both nice but is it £700 more nice

I think the HDMI issues are a side effect of them not making custom parts like LG & Samsung do, but rather buying the (not very good) Mediatech offering, They really shouldn't be allowed to call it HDMI 2.1 if it's not full featured or at least better than it is. it's purposefully misleading.

Moving the eArc to another slower port would help and that is technically possible to do. at least then they'd not be wasting one.

I, ve a 790 but all you say about 807 goes for my 790 as well (terrible blacks). Also, could not warm up to Android as well. My TV is on Android 10, phones have now Android 16 ... will the TV (apps) still work when everything is on Android 20? Yep, the placement of the remote control (turn on/off). Since the remote is one of the most terrible I have had in my hands (also big and chunky - why?) you have to point it directly to this thing to work, and it works slowly ... so, in summary: a) my first and last Philips TV and b) first and last Android on TV

I like your negative videos because you are always honest and fair. The Philips 807 is a great tv but no tv is perfect and they have pros and cons.

you know sir - great point. Not all assessments of any kind are positive. You have to take the bad with the good. And if you're not totally objective, you'd be biased and just be a 1 trick pony per se in just highlighting the highs and not the lows. Great objective review as always kind sir!

65 inch Philips 807 or 55 inch Sony A90J ? Can you help me decide. Primarily for movies, some gaming. Is that heatsink real protection from burn in? They are nearly same priced here in southern EU. Thank you
