P0106 MAP Sensor Problem | Quick MAP Cleaning on Hummer H3

The P0106 MAP sensor problem can be caused by oil or carbon residue in the sensor itself. In my case, some oil had accumulated in my MAP after leaving the intake manifold upside down. A quick cleaning of the MAP sensor and the code on my H3 was resolved.

Was having trouble locating the MAP. Your video was the only one I could find, after searching several, that clearly identified the location. I cleaned the MAP just as you described and the rough idle seems to be remedied. I had replaced the plugs, cleaned the MAF and throttle body and several other recommendations from the "experts" on YouTube. Cleaning the MAP was the cure. THANKS.

Thanks bro. Same location and technique on the 2006 3.5L, just cleaned it and the mass air, then cleared codes with Tourqe Pro App, Fingers crossed. Still need to do the Throttle body cleaning again soon. Perhaps when it's not a feels like of 105f outside
