Dude I paid 50.00 for a cheap disposal off Amazon almost two years ago. It's been running like a champ, no leaks, and chews right through whatever we throw at it. Family of 5. Don't let someone sell you on those 200.00+ units. They fail just as easily.

Just bought one of these today for the house I just bought. Was going to wait a few days, but woke up today & the disposal was $170 on Amazon so I got it. Waiting for this weekend to hear this baby purr 😂

In Canada, we call a garbage disposal a Garburator. So Insinkerator makes total sense to us. Always wondered if Americans found the name Insinkerator to be odd? Thanks

Great videos. But people putting in garbage disposals with dishwashers. Gotta remember to knock out the knock out. If you don’t, you’ll only make the mistake once.

I noticed a few other comments on the snap ring. I asked a bit ago how you made it look so easy. On some installs if you have the reach you can hold the plate down while you push the snap ring on. Some guys I worked with put the disposer on top in the sink to hold it down. I bought a great tool that held it expanded in place then you just held it against the plate and it snapped on with an easy push. I have never ever seen a snap ring that loose. What up?

I just recently had to replace my own garage disposal.

You should show in the short you removing the old one. That actually took longer than installing the new one

What was that tool you used to tighten the garage disposal was that channel locks? I tried them myself and found 2 screw drivers gave me a better result.

Any input is appreciated I am a young man and do whatever I can to save my family money. It took me 2 hours but I disassembled the old one. Cut out the wires from the old unit and wired the new one in myself. I had to remove the entire unit reinstall a new unit and wire it all on my own. Is it normal for it to take 2 hours have to do all that on your own for the first time? Any tips?

I gotta say… watching the video and now reading all comments… I’m not a 50 year veteran, but I was raised by one as well as work for another. Install looks good, I would be a little worried about the elbow fitting causing an obstruction but sometimes you gotta do it and can be cleaned out fairly easy.
I too am also impressed with the slick ring handling and disposal mounting.
I just have to ask, did you use silicone or plumbers putty for the collar? Was unable to see in video.
