Using Arduino with Python LESSON 19: Understanding and Creating a Simple Client Server Configuration

In this lesson we explain how a simple client server system works. We implement it using python and arduino. Using a Client Server Configuration is a more robust way of communicating between two systems.

Ironically, I started having the packet loss issue starting with the pong lessons because of all the playing around I did adding sliders etc. I was getting partial packets from the Arduino and went out to learn how to write code to ensure complete packets before python would read them. Took DAYS to learn and apply, but I sure learned allot while figuring it out!

Nice! After this I want to add (maybe with threading?) a webserver so the arduino can also receive commands from an android app. Now it's done with a php script but I guess running one big script is better then multiple small ones.

In your earlier Arduino tutorial series, I believe it was lesson 48, you mentioned a future lesson on setting up a power source. Also, in your AI tutorial, is it not possible to run ML on a raspberry Pi or Arduino? I think Adafruit has such a device. Did you ever make that lesson? Very much enjoying all of your tutorial. Some of the best out there and a wonderful way into this electronics world.
