The highest motive for missions and evangelism is not obedience to the Great Commission, although obedience is required. Nor is the highest motive love for sinners, great as that love may be. The greatest motive for missions and evangelism is a passionate zeal for the glory of Jesus Christ. As Dr. John Piper explains in this lecture, worship of the living God is the fuel and goal of missions and evangelism.

Wasn't expecting 'Nagaland' to pop out of this. 😀
I am a Naga and a child of God in Christ.
We thank God for the American Missionaries who came and planted seeds of the gospel and civilisation of which our parents and we are the beneficiaries. As of date, statistically, 87% of Nagas are Christians, given our deep rooted history of Animism. Nagaland was even the few, if not the only state, in India, at which Billy Graham preached, with a million attending it.
Amazing how God works. The theology that drove missionaries, in the 19th Century, to a group of hostile people, of which I am a part of, today, I am listening to that same theology and loving it. 😊God is great.
Oh what great joy is awaiting for those who would trust God to His word and cross over the river to the 'promised land' of which God has promised He will give.

This is a very true message. However, today’s new Calvinists or nothing like the Calvinist who took the world by storm and 15, 16 17 1800s. And by the early 1900s they were obsolete and it was only Pentecostal’s that were primarily reaching the world at that point sadly. We see a few of the reform view people doing something but it’s only a few and it’s only those connected to David Platt and John Piper, and thank God those two men. But the rest of reform people could not care less about reaching the Nations they just like to argue.

John Piper doesn't mention the closure of the Macedonian call which was in the West which was led by Jason Lee. Look it up, read about him in, "Jason Lee, Profit of New Oregon".

Why do all these videos say "Live" when they are all recorded? Seems deceptive for a Christian ministry.

Your accounting America is a part of Europe. And your math doesn’t add up. You need to take another look at it. Your own stats from the past go against what you’re saying here. It was America who dominated giving to missions ascending missionaries in the 20th century. We sent out 95% and supported 95% of all missions. Where is Europe did almost nothing however Europe did dominate the 1800s or you could say the 19th century. They were the primary ones who ran everything all right and 11 years ago. Things begin to change in America only accounts for 53% rather than 95% 43% come from Africa, and from the global south as you Europe and Asia make up the other small percentage

Calm down Piper, the Methodist were also driven and weren't Calvinist; a heretical Maniquean view.
