Where did ctools and views come from? I've been following along and had not seen where they were introduced as needed for something. There are 8 parts to ctools. Do you install them all? This thread is probably dead by now, so not really expecting an answer.

Please, what is the risk of adding a new module with respect to the website's database

That error will be removed only by going to localhost/st/update.php .
without installing a new module or even updating it .
