Prevention and reversal of Alzheimer's Disease is a new and controversial topic. Mainstream medical sources, healthcare organizations, and the US FDA urge caution in accepting or promoting unproven Alzheimer's cures or treatments. Bredesen and colleagues propose a new paradigm for Alzheimer's causes and treatments, centered on 5 Alzheimer's sub-types, each stemming from a different cause. Bredesen doesn't believe Alzheimer's can be effectively treated with monotherapy because many factors may contribute to the disease at the same time.
Bredesen's approach to cognitive decline centers around
1. Cognoscopy - comprehensive lab panel and evaluations of Alzheimer's risk factors
2. Ketoflex 12/3 - low-carbohydrate diet with intermittent fasting component
3. Lifestyle interventions
4. Identification and elimination of toxins from multiple sources
This review examines the methods and conclusions of the case series report. Watch the video to decide if it's worth spending time diving into the case series. Further information about Bredesen's unconventional approach to dementia treatment can be found in his 2 books, linked below.
