Most EXPENSIVE Fish EVER Caught off Pier! Catch Clean Cook (Juno Pier Fishing)

Anytime we get a hurricane or tropical storm in Florida theres a really good chance that we get an annual migration of mutton snapper that move inshore. This was filmed after hurricane ian. This creates an incredible opportunity for land-based fisherman to target these snapper from piers, jetties, inlets and beaches. This rare phenomena usually occurs when we get a big offshore swell from a tropical disturbance. Muttons snapper are probably the most expensive fish you could ever catch off a pier.

Nice! Growing up we did mostly fresh water fishing, Mom and I, but always scaled and ate our fish skin on. I equate it to prime beef with a bone and a nice marbling. There lots of flavor in that skin. Enjoy that cool weather. We're in the peak of the leaves changing here with our first sub-30's temps at night.

I grew up down near Juno Beach and used to fish as a kid. Now this makes me want to go back to it. I used to love catching mangrove snapper and sheepshead back in the day. If I didn't live near Orlando now, I'd be on it, but I'm getting the itch now and my parents have some old rods collecting dust at their place. I think I may get back to it soon.

Here at Topsail Island, NC, we got the top northeastern edge of Ian. Mostly wind and a little rain. But the fishing after gives us some fish at the pier that is normally out on the rocky reef that's about 300 yards off the end of the pier. This time we're seeing a lot of Black Sea bass, , most of which is just under the 13" limit, but occasionally there is a keeper caught.
We're still seeing finger mullet, and roe mullet, and mullet in between, , which is bringing in Spanish mackerel, blues, lady fish, and as soon as the water cools down a little bit more, , some spotted trout. We're normally seeing some king mackerel too, but for some reason we're not.
Keep up the good work, and keep those videos coming!

I always enjoy your fishing content but your cooking is what takes it to the next level. That snapper looked amazing.

The fish stays together, and retains flavorful moistful tenderness when cooked skin on. Great video man.

Wow, can’t believe you went to Juno Pier. I’ve been fishing on the pier since I was four years old. It’s been almost 5 years since I’ve been up here. Glad to see that still producing a lot of good eating fish.

"Snappaah blues", man that brings me back to my childhood. Some days on the jetties you can just catch them non stop. The problem is that you typically want something else because bluefish are really oily and strong, and they don't keep well. They do however make the best smoked fish dip...
