I have plaster walls, but the previous owners applied stucco over all the walls and I need to smooth it. Is this the best way to do it?

Good job. I personally like a lightly textured Stomp Ceilings. As a Painter I enjoy painting them. I'm all in on Sherwin Williams but PPG Brilliant White is the Best Product on the Market for ceilings. It's the old Glidden Ceiling White renamed. .

1inch and quarte roller, put some drops down .labor intense, maybe laminate with quarter inch drywall if plaster attachment is a breeze lathe will grab.

man i can't imagine the cost involved to have someone come out and cover the texture in my house. we hate it and fear ever having to rip open a ceiling.

Paul, load the compound right onto skimming blade with your drywall pump with the box filler, then right into the wall or ceiling. Saves a lot time.
