First we skim coat the entire wall using LEVEL5 Tools. We mix a drywall compound to a consistency we can apply using 3/4” nap roller. After rolling it on we skim trowel with our LEVEL5 skimming blade. We repeat this process 2-3x to achieve a smooth surface wall. Last step is a light sand prior to installing our accent wall and painting."

I use a storage tub and roll the plaster up the tub onto the wall leaving a blob at the bottom and pull the knife up the wall much easier

Do you sand after skim coat? Or not necessary?

Is there a certain size of roller sleave to use. 15mm? or bigger?

The only part I don't like is tape on the ceiling and walls, I've been doing this awhile and sometimes on crappy ceilings/walls or old ceilings the tape will rip off the first layer of paint/patch if you leave it on awhile.

Why not just sand off the texture and paint a primer?
