JR can alternate pick arpeggios faster than some could sweep. He puts a helluva effort into this technique and it really paid off for him.

Good tip but you should to actually sweep instead of just doing a series of picks in the same direction. Meaning reststrokes: The pick always touches a string when you sweep, it's never left in the air.

His tone sounds like pretty high gain with a lot of upper ends turned up. His tone has slight chorus, a lot of huge wet reverb and slight delay.

Sorry if this sounds nothing like his tone, this is my first time guesstimating someone's guitar tone through YouTube without knowing their settings. Hope this helps you guys find a tone you like, it's a pretty dope tone for leads
