There is an option in iOS called "Erase Data" under "Face ID & Passcode". It is meant to erase the phone after 10 failed passcode attempts. But it doesn't work.

This doesn't work. When I clicked "turn off" it instead sent a notiification to all my other devices which told me to enter a given authorization code in the device to be reset even though the device to be reset doesn't give a place to enter the code. This is because you need to "sign out" proper before doing the procedure above because the procedure above is boken. Typical Apple BS. Apple is incompetent.
