How to Erase your iPhone

Want to erase your iPhone? If you are selling your iPhone, Trading in your iPhone for a newer one, or giving your iPhone as a gift, you should fully erase your iPhone.

You can set your iPhone to factory default and it will be the same as when you got it.

First, make sure to back up your iPhone using iCloud. Then sign out of iCloud. This should disable find my iPhone setting as well.

Then, you can choose reset under general settings.
Make sure to choose to erase all content and settings. Once the phone restarts, it will start on the welcome menu. Shut it off and put it in the box.
