I love Google products only thing missing is a great laptop to complete as a system 🔥

Having owned both and now a 13 Pro I think Google has a better Ecosystem but Apple makes a better phone (so far), although Google is catching up! Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Google Drive, Google Assistant and Maps is just better. Also, Google is adding AI now which makes Apple way behind.

Apple really needs to work on improving iCloud Drive. Right now, it's not great for actual word processing. I still rely on Google Docs and I don't want to. I would prefer to go the Apple way, but they neglect certain things.

Nice that you showed the Pixel while talking about Apple's ecosystem, and the Pixel while talking about Apple's ecosystem xD

I wish Microsoft had a good phone. They were starting to mirror Apple but gave up for some reason.

If it wasn’t for sending and receiving pixelated pictures and videos I’d switch to Google tomorrow

For me, the seamless integration of the various devices within the ecosystem is most important. Apple does this best. All of it's parts create a unified whole. Android devices are getting closer, but right, some manufacturers integration is a bit fragmented between devices.

Dude, comparison of ecosystems is not just showing the phones and talking about it. Where are the tests of interaction between the devices? Check of the use convenience?

The issue I see and correct me if I’m wrong is the Apple ecosystem is not widely universal like Google.

I would say most people who have an iPhone don’t have other Apple devices. Their computer is a PC. If you work at an institution for the most part you’ll have a pc, probably windows / MS. And I bet most have an email address that’s not an Apple one.

I think the email address is a big one because let’s say you have a gmail address and you log onto a computer to access your email, you have the access to the Google ecosystem.

Most people are in trenched with their non Apple email address which is like the gateway to the ecosystem.

I’ve had the same gmail address since gmail and it’s always been my email address for correspondence.

When I’m at work when I want to do personal stuff, I can’t install iCloud / Safari because of admin reasons. So I’m in Chrome. Pretty much where ever you go on a desktop if it’s public or at an institution you can’t access Apple on a pc unless you have admin privileges.

This is where I find a major disconnect per se. Yes I can log into iCloud web access but….

However on the iPhone I find Apple apps more simplistic polished than Google apps. In other words let’s take Chrome for example vs Safari. I don’t like all the fancy bells and whistles. I just want to search for stuff. Although Chrome is polished very well for iOS, I find it too busy, if that makes sense. Same with Google Drive, too busy. iCloud Drive is polished yet a simple interface to me vs Google Drive. Same with Photos on iOS. Google Photos to busy for me. iCloud / Apple stuff on iOS in my experience gets to the point for productivity purposes.

I don’t like chrome on iOS I much much prefer Safari for reasons above. The disconnect I find is the non universal-ality of Safari. If I’m on a public computer on Chrome because that’s the browser, there’s no compatibility with my iOS device. But I hate Chrome on my iOS device.

Am I missing something?

I recently switched back to iPhone after waking to see my Samsung galaxy s20 ultra screen turn flickering green without dropping off.
Although iPhone is quite expensive than android in terms of access to media such as free movies and music downloads, I’m sticking for life with my iPhone now.

I love my iPhone, iPad, Mac mini.... I depend on Google Drive, Gmail, Docs, Home devices, etc. Personally, I think Google's iOS app are awesome now compared to the past their past versions. I'm really enjoying Google's ecosystem without having an android device.
