Is the flow of electron shown correct?

It shows the electrons from the battery start moving, but isn't it that the valence electrons from the conductor would also move along with the battery electrons?

Thats why you get instant current on the load, otherwise it would be dependent on the length of the wire.

Would happily get proven wrong though.

But electrons flow from lower potential to higher potential and charge flows from higher potential to lower potential so you have shown the opposite of it in the animation
