I love your phrase: "... like it's the last chopper out of Saigon." 😂😂😂

I mean, is this really his fault ? Their leader made him pass through the clouds and then didn't answer the radio calls...

Lets think of this rationally. According to the video, his calls were ignored. Not only that, but he was under low visibility. So he is not to blame. On top of that, it take a tremendous amount of time, money, and effort to train each and every one of those pilots. Pilots are also in high demand to to the low margine of people that actually succeed. Even if what he did is true, the airforce would never throw all that training away.

It's not that easy to lose wings That's way too much money invested in you to just toss it out like that. Funny though

Learning event. Keep him flying. Pilots are hard to find.

didn't know jet powered plane and a weather baloon traveled at the same speed.

They don't kick pilots after investing years of training and hundreds of thousands.

"Theres a new spot open for jet pilot"
"Oh did someone retire?"
"Nah, he tried to fly in formation with a balloon"

There's absolutely zero chance the Air Force removed a pilot, that they spent millions of dollars training, from flight status because he got separated from his wingmen and his radios either weren't working or his calls were being ignored.

I’ll take things that never happened for 1000

There is no way he lost his wings for that. That's ridiculous.

DAMNNNN one mistake and no more jet flying… that’s gotta suck like crazy… he didn’t even crash

Still tho our jets are very very important, every single last one matters so I understand the strictness, still tho he didn’t crash it and done a damn fine job following that balloon
