Commissioners know what's going on. Brokers paying them under the table.

Simple solution: tee times need to be booked with a name, so when someone shows up to golf they would need to show ID to starter or no golf.

Just modify the booking system so that you have to enter a name when you book a tee time and then they check your ID when you come to play to match it up. It's not rocket science.

Back in the day for weekday play you didn't need a time. You just got in line behind 1 or 2 groups on the tee, sometime the tee was open. Tee times were for weekends.

This already happened here in Vancouver BC during Covid. City took a while to figure it out but seems to have been fixed now. Funny to me! Go Fink!!! 🙌🏽

A modified version of this happened in the LA area public courses all the way back in the 90s. Grab a twilight time slot and show up early, slide a Benjamin onto the starters clipboard. Your group will be called on the tee right away. Those back ups weren’t always happening because of slow play. 😂 😂

I live around the augusta ga area, and we still call the club and reserve a tee time a couple days in advance or even day of. You still have the golf now app, I believe, but we don't have this problem at all here. I am an avid golfer, and I would be beside myself if I couldn't even play golf at my local courses. Also, take a look at how Myrtle Beach SC does their tee times. That is probably one of the top 5 golfing destinations in the US.

Its also happening here in mercer county Nj at the municipal courses.

Of all the problems in LA, finally an issue the local news can really devote serious time to without losing an advertiser or getting targeted by the DA. Whew!

There is a very easy solution if they "want" to fix this... Require the person booking the tee time to provide their name. That name cannot be changed. The person booking the time must present ID in order for their foursome to play.

WAIT... They cannot be made to present ID. That would be racist!!!

Ice-Tee should be part of the movement.

Investigate the people running the golf courses to see if they were splitting the money with the brokers🤔

Gentleman's game. Except when it comes to getting a tee time.
