Excel How To: SUMIF Function

The Excel SUMIF function allows you to add up a range of values based on a specific condition. For example, let's say you have a list of sales figures for different products and you want to add up the sales for a specific product. We can use SUMIF to accomplish this.

But, Excel has many other functions, so, this video also compares SUMIF to VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, and SUMIFS so you know when to use each. For example, when you want to retrieve the first value, the total number of matching rows, or using 2, 3, or more (multiple) conditions with SUMIFS.

Chapters in this video:
00:00 - Introduction
00:12 - SUMIF
01:06 - VLOOKUP
01:55 - COUNTIF
02:31 - SUMIFS
03:48 - SUMIF + SUMIF

Thank you for this. What if I have more than two items to Sumif? For example I have many stores I ship product to, but some of those locations are the same company. I want that to see that as a total amount.
