PS5 Pro is Worth it

The PS5 Pro has been in the wild all weekend and people have been asking me - is the PlayStation 5 pro worth it? After spending a few days with with my answer is a resounding yes. My own PS5 Pro review has me stuck in a Christmas morning loops of games to check out!

I rocked my PS4 Pro for about 8 years before upgrading to this PS5 pro, that's worth it in my book.

As someone who owns a beefy PC I’ve drifted away from my PS5. A lot of the games I play, even “good looking” ones like TLOU2 look “ok” compared to how GOOD games look on my PC. The PS5 Pro with PSSR brings PC quality visuals. I don’t have to wait for Stellar Blade to come to PC because it looks great on the Pro now with PSSR.Now I don’t have to buy TLOU on PC. I can replay Demon’s Souls, HFW and Ragnarok and not buy them on PC. For enthusiasts like myself who love the sharpness DLSS provides, PSSR is a comfortable second. Love that I’m playing games on console again without having to rebuy on PC. Also the 2tb alone is awesome

It is worth it if you can afford it. I know it’s getting backlash because of how expensive it is but I can tell you right now this thing is very powerful! I tested some games and compared them to my Series X and it’s just day and night difference. Again, this is my experience and I don’t know how you gonna feel about it.

If it’s a “PRO”, it should have EVERY bell and whistle. Disc drive. Stand . High end controller. Everything. It’s supposed to be the BEST version of the console. Like a top version of a car, phone etc. Every option feature bell and whistle. At the very least a disc drive. Options. Options are nice to have. Like fidelity, performance or both. Disc or no disc.

Got a 5 Pro at launch, really enjoying it so far from the expanded storage (plus my 1TB SSD) to how much faster everything runs, to not having to think about fidelity vs performance when you get both.

And yes, I have a gaming pc and streaming pc and no, I didn’t pay for the pro, trade it credit for my Xbox series x, switch and launch ps5 covered it more than enough.

This of course should have been the original PS5 spec. I refuse to pay for another model with slightly improved graphics. Absolutely ridiculous from Sony. There’s also nowhere near enough original exclusive PS5 games to justify it.

I have enjoyed the ps5 pro. My backlog might now be completed. Ff7 rebirth, dragons dogma 2, alan wake 2, star wars outlaws, hogwarts legacy has been sitting on the shelf because of the blurry visuals. This system has really cleaned them up

Decided to give Stellar Blade a go since it's Pro enhanced. My jaw was on the floor with how beautiful that game looked running at 120 fps with HDR turned on. If that's the kind of performance and Fidelity I can expect out of games moving forward, then my PS5 pro was definitely worth the cost

I can tell you my opinion, I did play few games.. and not that much difference.. but some games like The First Descendant it's absolutely massive... I think it depends on Devs a lot... but for the 46%. biger gpu and 2T. storage... that alone is massive!

Take note for those not interested. The bigger head room will allow devs to spec games for the pro where current games arent made for pro in mind

It’s absolutely worth it. Every big game going forward will be Pro enhanced. There’s already near 100 games enhanced. Some of them being new games like COD, assassin’s creed, and the new Metal Gear Solid.

I finished GOW:R on the Pro and the only thing more beautiful than the story, were the graphics. Playing at 4k with reflections on and 60fps truly feels like a premium experience when you’re cracking Nordic skulls.

I was a big advocate prior to release. The night I got it set up I felt a bit underwhelmed by it. However, a few more days with my Pro and I'm glad I bought it. It's a perfect pairing for my 77" C2, which, coincidentally, was almost 4x the cost of the Pro. 🤷🏻‍♂️
