People just hating. Im happy with my upgrade. Theres a clear difference in quality but you gotta play "Pro Enhanced" titles duh. I also used to be an xbox guy so no im not a sony fanboy. If you dont wanna spend the money you dont have to its just not for you then if thats your issue.

Most people don’t have a nice or big 4k tv, let alone an Oled tv. Once I got an Oled with my OG PS5, it was a game changer. Step your tv game up first, you “it’s not worth it” commenters

I have a Pro, and I immediately can tell the difference once I hooked it up to my LG OLed 45 in monitor, The Pro runs a lot smoother, and the graphic details are clearer. especially at 60 frames its awesome and well worth the money, folks who are hating on the Pro are the ones with lent in their pockets.

On Horizon, you need to use the Performance Pro mode to get the best of both worlds.

In the real world, such differences doesn't even matter I think. Ultimately, you are gonna play the game the game for the experience of the story and the thrill. Such small differences won't even matter.
The next big thing is definitely going to be ps6. I just hope that the ps5 runs the gta6 well.

If you have to get in that close on 65inch TV to tell the difference, then its not worth it.

IDC what anyone says, I'm getting it.

I changed my mind. Now I have an extra $800 to invest in a PC. Life Hack

You gotta really look for the differences compared side-by-side to notice so it’s not worth $200 extra this is dumb

I'll stick with my PS5 slim. It's not worth it, in my opinion.

When he* goes pixel peeping nose up to the TV you already know it's a worthless "upgrade"

For 800 dollars and if you add a disc drive and stand, SSD card, you’re spending 1k for a slight upgrade in graphics and loading speed, the host can afford it, day to day guys may not want to toss that much money into something that isn’t that much difference when you can now get a PS 5 slim for under 400 dollars.

I’m pretty happy with mine tbh. Overall it’s crispy AF. Makes the regular ps5 look soft AF

For those who have smaller TVs, the graphical differences are not as noticeable, but you can still tell the performance improvements for games like dragon's dogma 2 and others that are choppy on base ps5. I don't really care about the size of TVs as I live in a small apartment, so a 43-55 inch TV is enough for me. PS5 pro is a work in progress as PSSR has been giving issues in some games. I'd wait till they sort that out.

Best comparison review I’ve seen. Was heavily considering the Pro, but wanted to make sure I upgrade my tv first to at least a 120 Hz, which I’m in the process of doing, so I can set myself up early to take full advantage of its hardware once or if I do get around to it. Simply looking for the ultimate gaming experience through my preferred console. Everyone keeps trying to say wait for the PS6. I mean, why should I have to wait 2-3 years to enjoy the best Sony has to offer right now?

10:34 sit at a distance of 1.5x times of the screen's horizontal Size or diagonal size in feet. You will have optimal viewing distance for most eyes

I can't wait for the future games, and not every game benefits from the pro. .but the ones that do made me not regret the purchase...proving the gameroom, ps5 in the living room

Sending mine back today. Not having a disc drive was really getting annoying.

The graphical upgrades aren't automatic. So many games waiting for devs to release patch.

I'll probably buy it somewhere down the line if devs are really behind it.

I've been playing a lot of Alan Wake II on mine, and the difference is quite noticeable. The same goes for The Last of Us Part I and II, surprisingly.

The problem with the Pro is that longevity is going to be so short with no upgrade path until the PS6. It’s not a waste if someone really wants to spend hard earned money on it or if they just can financially. For some people though the fact it struggles so much with 4K 60 with ray tracing already in the best triple A games makes me think in one year from now it’s going to be back to heavy compromises just £700 out of pocket. If you stick with the base you are admitting that ok 4K 60 ray tracing is off the cards totally in most cases and living with that going outside of balanced and quality modes to performance mode to hit it. Getting the pro is like one year or two if that at max on borrowed time until your back to performance mode compromises again. At that point do you look at your pro like yes little dude you got me through 5 triple a games in 2 years at 4k balanced and I’m ready to go back down to performance mode again? It’s a short ride to 4k balanced with RT for a few games but if you got the money or your heart is set on it then do it. At the moment I use a rtx4070 super and play many triple a games 4K quality 60 fps with RT. It’s a 1440p card which punches above its weight and on some games I accept 1440p RT or 4k balanced. The longevity of is that I may go down to what the Pro performs like in a year or two but the Pro will fall a bit too far back to base PS5 for my liking to soon.
