Best quote from the whole interview: "Free speech is meaningless unless you allow people you don't like to say things you don't like." 🎤💥

Greg Hartley is a freakin' genius = "..he tries to use silence, to get the guy to talk more, on a guy who can't read social cues." AMAZING observation.

Funny story. I was in a relationship with a very intelligent man who was on the spectrum, although I didn't know it at the time. I would get frustrated with him because he often seemed emotionally distant, or even critical of me, telling me how I could perform certain tasks more efficiently. One day I was feeling ignored, while he was talking about how he had fixed my car. I lost my temper and yelled at him, asking why he only cared about fixing the car and not me. He stared me dead in the face and said "because I can fix the car, but I can't fix you!" That was when it clicked. He wasn't criticizing me for doing things inefficiently, he was solving a problem, he thought he was helping me. He couldn't understand why I was becoming frustrated and insecure. In his mind, he was helping me and showing how much he cared, while in my mind, he was ignoring me and tinkering with stuff. We both learned a lot that day about how perspectives can be very different.

Scott nailed it when he said Musk is trying to solve a problem at first and then realizes that the problem is the reporter sitting in front of him.

The "Yeah it's a hard job" game was played perfectly. Elon made the interviewer admit he cannot name someone. By adding his punchline, he basically made the interviewer admit that he cannot name someone who can do it better than Elon. That was brilliant!

The interview wasn't exhausting, it was infuriating. This guy was so rude, he did not listen to a single word Elon said, he made himself look truly stupid. His resentment over the twitter takeover was ABUNDANTLY clear.
Not only did Elon completely destroy this guy, but you guys came in for round 2 and ended it 😂 thank you, he really deserved the beating tbh

Elon was so humble and authentic, the BBC reporter not at all. You guys are always fantastic. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I have been a journalist (in India) for over 35 years now and one of the things we were taught when we were interviewing (we took down interviews in shorthand the days of tapes had not come in!) But we had to prepare just 3 or 4 questions and just go down the alleys and bylanes from the answers they came back with. Not read question after question. This is a shocking interview with such an interesting man

I’m a Brit and I hate the BBC, I actually campaign to defund it but I’m sweeping leaves in the wind in that score. I actually very much admire Elon and was hoping you’d do this particular interview when it went viral last week. Elon has no filter that’s for sure but this ridiculous unprepared interviewer was an absolute disgrace not only to the BBC but his fellow journalists and his fellow Brits.

This reporter disagrees with Elon's purchase and running of Twitter.
He is obviously going for gotcha moments and is frustrated with Elon's honest and thoughtful responses.

I thought the interviewer was a total noddy thinking he was very clever. He was downright rude and had an agenda to disgrace, shame and character assassinate Elon. I am a huge fan of Elon Musk and so grateful that there is someone so inspirational and authentic in a tarnished world.

Just a regular senior citizen here....gentlemen, it was awesome to watch the four of you. I was really let down by the interviewer. I could have done better half asleep. Elon musk is fascinating to watch and yeah, you can almost see his brain working. I've known SEVERAL people like him (not with his intelligence) but who thinks like him. The interviewer, in my mind, either doesn't have enough world experience in talking with different people or flat isn't smart enough . It's most likely not enough experience if you ask me. You guys and Musk were great to watch and listen to. Thx

This interviewer is horrible. He is rude and distracted and I am shocked that he scored an interview with Elon Musk and treated it with such disregard. The holding of the phone and staring at the phone (I guess his notes are there?) is immature and inappropriate. Quite frankly he came across as a young, insolent jerk. Elon came across as genuine and transparent. As always - fascinating commentary from you four! Keep 'em coming!

It should have been so embarrassing for the BBC that the reporter would be fired. Or put behind a desk, never allowed to interview again. Just awful. Lies and also can’t hold his own.
He started off looking like he already hates Musk and Twitter and then it goes down hill from there…

As someone diagnosed with Asperger's (now spectrum) very young, you guys NAILED your perspective of some of us. You understand stims and eye movement better than therapists I've had!

Elon was so gracious to an interviewer who was rude, unprepared, sneering, antagonistic, impolite and ignorant. He should have walked out, but his manners won the day. Perhaps the real interviewer suddenly fell ill and a guy from the camera crew threw on a suit?

Disagreement is not hate speech. Facts do not have feelings. Feelings do not negate facts. This is Elons way of living and being.

I get the impression that this guy is personally upset at musk (for firing people, for not controlling speech on twitter, etc.) and is letting his personal feelings get in the way of his interview process.
