The mere fact of thinking that the scriptwriters/writers of the series would give us an Alastor weakened by the contract that has him tied, without celestial/angelic weapons and being confident against Adam, HE could only endure him (not beat him), something that no other overlord has done so far, which is to be admired. I'm scared of the almost infinite potential this guy can have.

I think in the show the staff acts as an amplifier as opposed to containing a quantity of his power that just would make sense, Alastor is careful not gullible
