I found original scene, a bit boring on the side of Composition and Color & Camera Movement. i add particles & grading and a bit movement on it. I couldn't do the best job because it was raw footage, also if you are animator, and need composition, hit me up! :)

Information:

There are various files given to you in the composition.

1. Character animation (green screen or alpha channel)
2. Background and background elements (transperant)
3. Character rim lights (can be drawn with hand or automated using 3rd party plugins in various design tools)

I didn't have any of that in this scene, everything was done on already composited version!

The fact that Alastor held his own against someone who technically is just as powerful as Lilith is crazy. I really enjoy how disgusted his eyes looked at the mere thought of almost dying in a way that would look like he was altruistically helping his friends. The voice actor and animators really nailed it, since we can see the Alastor's despair and keeping that aura of mystery that surrounds him since the pilot.

While I was looking at the hotel, I kept thinking that if they had played with the glow and shadows, it would have turned out much better and this video is a direct confirmation of this. It looks great!

0:33 is the best shot you edited, I truly believe the higher contrast of the green and the darker reds looks SO much more menacing, and however you managed to add the shadow effect from his fingers against the green too. Very impressive :D

0:30 dude this part is fire. The darker atmosphere juxtaposed with the enhanced glow in his eyes really gives off that sense of paranoia.

Alastor give so much Jack vibes (from The Nightmare Before Christmas), when he laughed I felt that Jack vibes so hard

0:23 I like the angle on his ears, for much of the same reason I like Carmilla Carmines hairstyle. Both don't have traditional demon horns, so their hair is symbolic of long, powerful horns. In this shot, his ear like hair style is pulled back, and the black tips curve giving the image of demonic horns. Shot on an eerie red light, the whole thing really gives us a strong image of how irredeemable Alastor really is. Content and happy with his struggle for fame and power.

He truly belongs in the pride ring, with all his character traits. Restricted on power, forgotten and uncared about. This man is cracking under the pressure...but despite all of this...I am curious to see if his character can be...well changed.

Alastor is a manipulative, unempathetic, piece of scum and villainy. But we do see small cracks in the facade that show on some level he is growing attached to Charlie and friends. Right now he sees it as means to an end. A contract he is obligated to fulfill, and a tool for him to use to gain more power...but I wonder, can even someone like him learn to accept his flaws, and recognize the costs they have on him.

While there is still some question how much of his writing will continue to be canon. We do see that Alastor, despite all his flaws...does like to fight for the little guy. He enjoys punishing conmen, and manipulative people. Putting them in their place. Though I think some amount of this is cause currently, he doesn't like competition. But I do wonder, how much of that spite he has is also driven by past tramaus.

He hates authority figures, and lashes out at them. Constantly trying to either out wit them, or get under their skin. Most individuals have this as a learned behavior from past tramaus...though there are just bad people. But with the larger picture, I think Alastor is a bad guy, but not always a "bad guy". I think he learned to enjoy this, and revel in it. But something else is there, something dissatisfied and broken. Only time will tell.

More red is NEVER a bad thing for Alastor.

Tbh I wish they never lightened his color pallette, ESPECIALLY his hair.

Even when he’s having a mental breakdown he always keeps a smile on his face. Creepy

I can’t stop watching this scene every time it’s recommended I HAVE to watch it (and this is the best version)

Alastor's voice is one of the best in the show, really haunting! He's mocking the idea that he would die for his "friends" while in shock that he almost died while also unraveling about this deal he made. Guesses are he made a deal with whoever keeps putting all these unnaturally occurring eyes everywhere which may or may not be Roo.

The higher contrast of light to dark definitely makes this clip more appropriate for the situation.

i love how such seemingly minor effects (screen movement, frantic zooms, glow, darkness) can do so much to effect the scene. it’s so much more emotive and badass

Crazy how a little lighting change and a few visual effects can improve something so much, love when somone realizes that less is more sometimes, this was edited masterfully with the perfect amount of changes, amazing job

I thought Alastor was going to act from the shadows for a was going to be really believed him dead for a moment.
How cool could that been?

Not gonna lie, when I first read the title, I rolled my eyes. Like, really, now could someone make the scene made my an animation studio with a budget better? Animation is one of my hobbies, and while I cannot make something level with professionals, I can tell when a shot is well-made because I have taken a film class and understand how lighting and angles, and all that affects a scene’s mood. This is honestly incredible. I was thoroughly a pleasantly surprised. You took one of ny favorite scenes and somehow made it better. It’s even more epic now

00:33 this little closeup you did was a nice touch, like a jumpscare or something.

What if Alastor's deal is to fake his own death so Lilith can come down from heaven to tell Charlie redemption works? Alastor disappears, seemingly to heaven, having died for his friend's, and henceforth being redeemed.

The shadow at the end is likely an image of more potential which he gets when he has his soul back
