We still don't know why he was so freaking powerful but the thing is his deal is limiting him. Once I figure out how to unclip my wings is like the coolest metaphor. And it’s just that. It’s like he has power still, but his wings have been clipped like a birds. He can still sorta reach that power like we see in some of the episodes but he can’t truly “fly” he is just “gliding”
