No. There is no significant difference in tactics used by women vs men to establish wages, because the negotiation of wages has mostly been eradicated from the workplace.

Workplaces where it is possible are usually male-dominated, and any space that is filled with men will also be filled with a deep-seated expectation that women not outperform men, meaning that negotiations will be offset by a perceived difference in the value a woman brings to the job.

Add onto this the broad anti-union sentiment and focus on secrecy about benefits/pay bred into the work force and political landscape, and it’s not even possible to negotiate reasonably because everybody is at a disadvantage.

And to top it all off, if you can negotiate wages, that means you’re working for one of the few institutions that hasn’t reduced its valuation of human labor to the point that everybody gets shafted with the bare minimum, like with Uber, Door Dash, or McDonalds.
