In my opinion, if you use it for work, just pick the thing that most of your clients use. It would just be easier for the both of you that way because both of you are familiar with it.

I ve been using dropbox since it launched to sync files across my different devices. I have 10 free gb of storage. Never had a complaint until I learned I can only sync 3 devices… its not enough nowadays… Im swuitching to drive…

Plus: when I used google drive for a few years across multiple devices, my files always got duplicated. So, frustrating…

Dropbox is pure garbage. No storage offering should make you log in to access a shared folder. Secondly as stated previously, my ability to upload to the sharer's folder is dictated by the amount of space I have. I could have a free account with no files on my drive, but if people have shared files with me, that counts toward my storage space ! What ??? This is a shitty business model designed to make you either subscribe or upgrade to the service. No thank you. I'll stick with Google Drive and MS One drive, who allow me to view/edit files with no account, where my storage has NOTHING to do with the sharer's storage.

i think the only pro for dropbox is faster backup & restore when using wordpress. restoring files from google drive tend to pop up annoying errors.

Lol this is just a promo video for Google Drive in my eyes. Dropbox is miles behind purely for lacking Drive mirroring and no-one else has your pain point of wanting to hide specific folders from Mirroring AND local storage. That would just be so over complicated. Drive has better search, is cheaper, and you didn't mention it includes Docs, and paying for it also increases Google photos storage and Google photos is incredible. AI powered and beautifully designed, auto deleting the oldest photos and videos from my phone so phone storage filling up is a thing of the past, yet I can access basically unlimited photos and videos via my gallery app (Google photos) on my phone....if I have a good internet connection, I can hardly tell when I'm browsing my photos stored locally on my phone from a year ago and when I'm streaming a photo from 10 years ago that Google photos has removed from local storage

I've done some photos of dogs, when I send a link over Google drive and they open it it's lower quality than on my computer or phone. Any help on this?

F*ck dropbox. There's certain phone devices that can't access my dropbox open access link. I don't know why is that. Google drive seems to have no problem with link sharing

Google Drive Desktop Client doesn’t show me the shared with me folders and so I just completely don’t get the point of even having a desktop client if it doesn’t 100% mirror the browser, I only like Google drive for collaboration on sheets and word etc., but sharing files with clients it’s the worst, Dropbox all the way, but I have to pay for both to keep those drive clients happy

Drive absolutely blows on M1 Macs. Can’t search at all. Dropbox has full search capabilities.

Google says it’s impossible to search cloud storage on M1 Macs. Kinda weird that Dropbox can do it but Google keeps making excuses.

I am trying to get a service where I can upload videos, and my teammate would download the footage, edit it, and reupload my videos. But, with Dropbox, do I have to create a username/email for us to share, or can he use his Dropbox? -- if he isn't paying for an account, would it work?

What's the best video on using dropbox. I use to use it 20 years ago but it became complicated so I quit using it. Maybe I'm just too lazy. I never need more than the free storage amount. Just file sharing so I can travel without a thumb drive.

I'm very fortunate and Google has been kind to me lol.
My phone plan includes 100GB of drive (which I apparently had for months and just found out about) and I use a Pixel and they have unlimited cloud photo storage.

i always thought onedrive was a joke for them not offering a 2tb like dropbox but i can understand how annoying onedrive can be when stuff doesn't work
