Dude! This is the video I’ve been searching forever! I’ve been trying to figure out what angle and binding set up I should changed to, as I’m trying to improve my switch riding and do a few features! Thank you!! This was super helpful!

No right or wrong way, i personally ride +18 front and +3 or +6 on rear. I find i am not twisting my shoulders and hips to see where i am going. The slight twist loads the front heal and rear toes adding torsional twist in my board while running straight down hill. I also found i can initiate much quicker turns.

I grew up riding in Tahoe in the 90s, been living in Hawaii 25 years, surfing, but just bought a new set up and set up my bindings. What I can’t find information on is binding placement relative to rail. I always rode with bindings set as close to heel edge as allowable, but every video I see has everyone riding their bonding dead centered. I don’t have big feet. I wear a ten boot, but can’t understand why you wouldn’t want the ball of your foot more centered than the binding itself that when centered makes the center point of your drive push through the mid arch of your foot closer to the ankle. I grew up skating too, and intuitively I’ve always felt finesse in all board sports comes from where your pinky toe meets the metatarsal bone that would run center through the ball of your foot. When you punch, power comes out of ball of foot with rotating. When skate, you ollie and land center in board with center of ball of foot. I always snowboarded like this too, but never figured out why anyone would want to be over their board anywhere but over the ball of the foot. And no one talks about this at all, or at least I can’t find anything on it on YT. I don’t care but just was curious because to bet my binding set as far to heel edge as possible, I can only use three mounting screws instead of four. But I guess with Burton they use two now on the EST, so three should be plenty I presume.

Nice video, never seen that forarm trick, seems like a great little trick. I can only really afford one board so i chose to run a dc pbj setup as a park board ( +12/-12). Im in the park 75% or more of the time so the flex is fun and playfull but the camber helps to still shred a bit of all mountain.

Thanks dude. I got a jones 159 split board and set it up to my park stance. I sunk instantly. So I bought a 164 wide thinking it would be better for deep powder. I love landing and jumping of switch. My park board is 157, how do the pros land and launch switch on such small tails?

On a park board should I have my back binding even from the tail as I should with the front foot to the nose ?

Powder seems a lot for -9 back, why? Would back be at 0 not be better ?

What does it say about me?: I ride slightly on the front end with 15/-7 mostly all mountain. The slight forward position makes turn in easier for me, does that make sense?

Any thoughts on adjusting forward lean for each of these situations ?

Nice video. Probably worth mentioning that powder and freeride boards often have a set back reference stance so no need to set back further on most cases.

Would have been nice to see at least one posi posi setup. For freeride setup or powder days I run +27 +12.
