I have a peculiar FOMO with the hydropneumatic Citroëns, but as the owner of a very reliable, conventional yet comfortable Volvo 945, I simply can’t deal with the anxiety and stress they potentially bring..

Hopefully one day I can overcome this anxiety with the power of having actual money in the bank, but please keep reminding me with videos/clips like this - always fun to see this suspension in action!

I had a Xantia 1.9 TD I bought for $1, 000 because i wanted the worlds best suspension wow that car amazed me, from carrying a ton of gravel in the back to putting the tow hitch under the nose of a crashed car and setting the suspension lever to up full to hook out and tow away the other car, incredible.

That's why I also have some of them (2 GS: GS Club and GS X 2 from 1978) and 4 GSA: GSA X 3 from 1980, GSA Special, GSA Break Club from 1981 and GSA Pallas from the GDR from 1982).

Some cars have (or had) self-leveling shocks, my '95 Volvo 850 and '04 V70 had these Nivomats shocks. They need a few bumps in the road to get to the correct height, and is not as dramatic as this Citroen system of course :)
