Growing up in the 60s, my parents owned a small restaurant. One of their customers was very proud of his (new at the time) Citroen. I recall he gave us a similar demonstration, as we all watched. He even showed us how he could use the suspension system to change a tire without a jack. Needless to say, he received a round of applause and few chuckles. Good times.

Probably one of the most beautiful cars ever designed.

Let mine go in 2010 after 35 years of ownership. Mixed emotions whenever I see one now. It was glorious, but demanding.

I can remember working on the D models in the late 1960s and 1970s loved every moment. Fantastic cars. Now like all makes you can’t tell one from another.

10.12.19 - The smoothest suspension in any car I've had the pleasure of driving.

Revised lights and a couple other details and the car would be a futuristic car of the present era.

The whole car is amazing.

I can just imagine it parked by a cafe on a quiet cobble Parisian road, with the sleepy amber street lights glowing under a calm evening sky.

When we moved to Guam in 1962 our sponsors owned one of these. Outstanding car. Great mileage not that anyone thought about mileage in’62, quiet very competent car. A typhoon picked the poor thing up and deposited it in a yard across the street, no harm done. Funny memories

Talk about, ahead of it's time !!!
You would nearly expect to see an extra terrestrial behind the wheel of this vehicle.
Classic car, in every sense of the word !!!

My husband owned a citroen dealership in Roanoke Va. In the late 60s and early 70s. He was devoted to the car but the public was not responsive to the Citroen. Fabulous car!!

Such a cool design. Asthetically and mechanically. It's a shame there weren't more imported here to the states. I have only seen a couple irl in the last 40 years

My last voice teacher's son had one of these. She said that the ride was very smooth and it was like riding in your couch at home, the seats were that comfortable.

I remember seeing one of these for the first time as a kid in the early 70s. We were on holiday on the British south coast, and there was a French family staying in the same hotel who had one of these parked out front. The guy started it up and the car rose up - I was completely blown away! I said to my parents that I would have one one day. I'm still waiting 😂.

For a European car it is a very large example. These cars were very desirable even back then. This is a fine looking automobile and to find one that is in very good running order is rare these days. This was a real revolution in design when they came out. And for as large as they were they would scoot on down the road very fast and they were very stable on any kind of road surface because of it's suspension. I got to drive one when I was seventeen and the car was a brand new 71 model. I really put it through it's paces that afternoon for about 2 hours.

Beautiful motor. I used to be so intrigued with the DS as kid in the late 60's, they seemed to be so 'other worldly' & 'Sci Fi' in that wonderful era.
