It feels like that Arcee was shot from behind but thats not true. This got me watch and rewatch the clip and foucussing on the bullet's trajectory and that deception shooter's gun pointing.

No I didn't miss that detail but what I did miss that was right in front of me the whole time was the Decpiticon that attacked them was Bonecrusher himself.

It seems coincidental which looked like she tried to block a shot aimed at the soldier but that’s not it it. I rewatched the scene a few times zoomed, and for a split second as Arcee was about to enter the scene, we first see Chromia trying to shoot the decepticon protoform. So that protoform was looking at Chromia, then as Arcee enters, the Decepticon protoform then sees her and now looks into her direction and fires at her. Eventually killing her. So she was actually moving in for an assist, even though it looked like she tried to block a shot and save their human ally. Could be both but she was more likely doing an assist.

The way I see it is that Chromia was the one that shot Arcee. If you watch closely on Chromia, you can see that she shot prematurely and it had struck Arcee instead.
