Why Does SONIC Seem WEAKER in the Movies? SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3... #shorts

Why Does Sonic Seem Weaker in the Movies? Sonic is known for his insane speed, but in the movies, his power levels seem all over the place. One moment, he’s zooming across the ocean in seconds, and the next, he’s struggling to outrun an avalanche. What’s up with that? Take Sonic 2, When he and Tails get caught in an avalanche, instead of just speeding to safety, Sonic calls Tom for help—why? And if he was fast enough to dodge Knuckles at times, why did their big fight feel so evenly matched? At first, Knuckles completely overpowers him, but later, they’re suddenly on equal footing. This weird power inconsistency carries into Sonic 3, where Sonic struggles against Shadow in every fight—only to knock him out with one punch by the end. And let’s not forget the first movie. With all his crazy reflexes, how did he fail to dodge a simple tranquilizer dart? Is Sonic getting slowed down for story reasons, or is there a deeper explanation? Let me know what you think!

I’d say… Sonic holds back a lot and in Sonic 3, when he knocked out a vengeful Super Shadow, he was bloodlusted.

I think Sonic doesn’t no what to do against Shadow and Knuckles and do something random but when the Movie is coming near the end, Sonic knows what to do against them and it will be a equal fight against them. In Sonic 2 the snow he was chased by Robots, Knuckles and Snow and he have to carry Tails while Tails was unconscious and he couldn’t do anything alone so he call Tom that he can a little bit rest.

Well in the movies he spent most of his life running and hiding. In the games he's been at war with Eggman since he was a kid. I think it just boils down to Movie Sonic not having the experience or understanding of his true capabilities as Game Sonic.

Sonic in the movies is still young so he's still gotta alot of growing

Running through an avalanche isn’t as easy as it looks, even in stop time. Also he couldn’t dodge knuckles attacks because he wasn’t used to that kind of power, and also knuckles is a literal warrior.
The reason he couldn’t overpower shadow is self explainable and I do agree it was plot armor that he won that fight, but he also was startled before the dart hit him in the first movie. And again wasn’t used to being attacked.

Simple answer. He’s a kid who is having fun and doesn’t take stuff seriously most of the time

I think it depends on his emotions, like the fight between super sonic and super shadow. When Shadow mentioned Tom Sonic became super angry and he threw him to the moon.

I think Sonic becomes weak whenever he is over confident or scared. When he was shot, he was scared. And when he was fighting Knuckles or Shadow, he was over confident that he will win. In the first fight with Knuckles and Shadow, he thought he would win. But in the last fight, he wasn't too confident.

It's clear that his strength and when he decides to use his full force is similar to Spider-Man. He pulls his punches most of the time since he's a kid but whenever he's truly angry, like during his fight with Shadow, he can full-body him and send him flying to the moon with one punch

In Sonic 1 he didn’t dodge the tranquilizer because he trusted Tom to not shoot him

I think it's more like elements of surprise or not expecting it

Avalanche maybe explain by not being able to run on snow

But yeah, movie tropes probably a big part

I think sonic in sonic 2 knew that the master Emerald was near Tom’s location and that’s why he asked for help

He adapts when sonic meet knuckles for the first time sonic did not even know what powers he had but at the final fight sonic knows all of knuckles abilities

It’s a movie. Things like power scaling are not accurate in movies . It’s the matter of emotion and when it matters, that estimates how powerful he is. It’s movie logic

Tails has it worse in sonic 3. He struggled taking down the force field yet Knuckles took it down with one punch, and in sonic 2 Tails was to nervous to dance with sonic bc He thought him and sonic were gonna fail, and his translator made a really bad miscalculation. Does anyone agree?

When sonic is normally fighting it isn’t as strong but you know he’s charged and stronger when there is lighting around him and his eyes are bluer

Sonic is just saying to himself "Nah, I'll lock in later." Plus, my guy legit has plot armour

1) He didn’t know how deep the snow was, if he started running, he could’ve fallen and got stuck.

2) When Sonic lost to Knuckles, he was literally caught watching a movie with his dog. Sonic spent his time preparing to fight Knuckles and he was not holding back when they stalemated.

3) Shadow let Sonic beat him because he wanted to prove to Sonic and himself that revenge is the only natural way to get by grief. When Shadow recognized that he hurt Tom, he used it to experiment with Sonic what Shadow would do for Maria.

4) He probably didn’t know what tranquilizers do since Green Hill is such a quiet place and he’s never seen a cop need to use it.

I actually realized something in Sonic 1 Sonic falls down the same way he did in Sonic 3

Yeah, I certainly does seem like Sonic is not at his peak when he's not angry enough. When you're not fighting out of anger, you're moves processed by the brain before becoming your action. Things like "should I" or "should I not" all go through the brain. When you're angry, you movements become more instinctive but predictable. Of course, I still think Sonic in the movies is quite different for Sonic in SonicX.
