What I love about the minions of set is that they do not mess around, go for the kill, and are smart enough to see a threat when they tried to eat the beetle part

Jack's Sword can only harm evil, the demons of Zet are not evil..
They just exist.

Fun fact: They were one of the few enemies that could not be defeated by Jack's Sword.
Though it's possible that the upgraded version of Jack's Sword from Season 5 may have been able to harm them.

I do like the detail that Jack's sword can't beat these monsters because they're minions of what is essentially Aku's brother, not Aku himself.

It is crazy to think that the guy who voices Jack also played "Marvin" in Pulp Fiction, the black kid that John Travolta accidentally shot in the back of the car. He is also the voice of "Hermes" from Futurama and the Earth King in the Last Airbender. Massive talent...

Given how much trouble these things gave Jack, and the fact that they themselves were divine in nature, it would of been interesting to see what would happen if they went against Aku.

“Where the moon hits the sea of reeds”

That hole the moonlight came through does not look intentional.

Straight nostalgia. One of the very few cartoons my pops watched with me as a jit. We even connected and saw season 4 together. Thank you CN/AS

I'm beginning to notice how "adult swim" videos allow the comments for this show but not "cartoon network. 😓

The solutions to defeating ancient evils really need to be simpler to find. Most folks don't have time to solve riddles mid-beatdown.

So we gonna ignore the fact that jack was literally pushed into stone giving it a shape of his body at 1:00 and walked it off like it was nothing 😂

There's always that one "RUN!" boss in adventure video games.

One singular thing bugs me despite how awesome this is.
That being Jack’s sword kinda just goes from existing to not existing for the sake of him having both hands available.

Those Minions are like if the 3 Blind Archers left their post.

I wonder if this means that Divine Beasts belonging to a God is stronger than the essence of evil itself.

Good thing the Gods never turned to the dark side or Jack would need a Kratos at his side.

Ah yes...we all remember when we had to fight the indestructable minions of Seth ...all the while trying to decipher ancient egyptian hieroglyphics....fun times

Is it just me or does it seem like the dual-wielding one is, in particular, *really* not fucking around?

Also the sequence starting at 0:35 is probably my favorite in all of Samurai Jack. Everything about it is just brilliant really, especially the incredibly fluid and graceful running animation for the Minion on the pillars. Damn. Also love the way the percussion changes when it jumps up, as if to accentuate the complexity of the movement going on, only to be replaced with the scary, droning chase theme the instant the Minion lands. Classic stuff. I also LOVE the cinematography in this episode. When the Minion gives Jack the backhand from hell, all we see is Jack flying in from the black space off screen in an extremely zoomed in, heavily cropped shot. Then the khopesh Minion jumps into frame out of nowhere before the camera zooms *way* out revealing the full context of the fight: the Minion that smacked Jack was still there the whole time, lurking.
