Jordan Peterson is a modern day hero in my opinion. I have read his last 2 books and have probably listened to 500+ hours of him in various podcasts, and I got to see him live on stage with Ben Shapiro in Jerusalem last year. He's the real deal, the most important thinker in the world right now.

Over my career in the stock market, I've heard "it's different this time" so many times, and it was never different. Since the stock market is the aggregate knowledge of everyone, when people say it's different this time, they are saying they know more than the aggregate knowledge of everyone put together. People think they are high and mighty and know better, but it's never the case. The same is true in politics. Every time I hear "it's different this time", just wait about a decade and it's never different.
