Question is: are there differences in file types Shop will download (or is it export?), that the free can't? Are TIFF possible in Shop? or vector files?

Will Shop save work to a local computer or is it web storage only?

I am looking to purchase Sketchup Studio for Students. Are the features and functionalities the same in the studio version as the pro version? I will be a CAD and Construction management student in the fall at a local college in my area.

I use the original Sketchup 2015 free. I wont use a web version of anything.

I am using Sketchup Make 2017 but I can't download components from 3D Warehouse. Will the free version be able to download from 3D Warehouse?

can you transfer your model from SketchUp pro to sketch up free because I've spent over 3 weeks doing a model for so long and completely forgot about my free trail and now I want to transfer it to the free version of SketchUp, can I still transfer it.

I'm really just looking to use Sketchup for building my tables workbench/outfeed, and to learn to build my kitchen cabinets, but my question is Once I design the bench/cabinets, will the free or shop version give me a cut sheet so I know how much lumber to buy and how to cut it for assembly?

I have the Pro version, but only because I've been using it for over a decade (on and off) for commercial purposes, I only continue using it because I received a 'special offer' to migrate for around 300 dollars (converted from GBP) for 2 years subscription. If it weren't for the time needed to learn other software, I would have jumped - in part because almost doubling the yearly cost without any significant added function, is a little unfair. Perhaps they've checked their analytics and found that users were making a good living from it, and they wanted an easy piece of that?

The student version is called sketch up studio, and it has a desktop version. It is not clear wether I can use extensions. I want to use it with V-ray. Do you happen to know?

Hi, I'm trying to learn sketchup using the Free version thinking to upgrade once I master the Tools. However, I find the tool interface annoying because it requires two mouse clicks to get the tool you want. Does the Shop version have a full tool menu or does it only have the same interface as the Free version. If that is the case, I'm not sure why I should get the Shop version. I won't be doing more than a few woodworking models a year. It seems to me that learning how to use the tools is already hard enough without having to look for them.

I'm personally using 2017 make desktop version, free and you can get extensions. It's vastly better than the web based version, though it's a bit slower and buggier than the pro versions.
